Socialist Party Councillors Dave Nellist & Rob Windsor on the
campaign stall against rip-off hospital parking charges
at Walsgrave - 23 January 2010
£2.7 million!
That's how much profit was made from hospital visitors & workers at Walsgrave last year.
That's the cost of private firms being let into our NHS.
The private finance initiative (PFI) really means Profits From Illness!
All the establishment parties supported the Walsgrave PFI scheme that let profiteers in, it was only Dave Nellist and the Socialists who opposed PFI for the robbery it would lead to. Dave Nellist and Coventry Socialist Party have been out campaigning against the car parking charges at Walsgrave hospital and held public meetings in the city in 2009. Dave has also launched a petition against private firms making obscene profits from visitors and workers at the hospital. If you want to help the campaign you can download and print out copies of our leaflet and petition (see links below). Please distribute them to friends, family and workmates.
