Nuneaton socialists campaign against rip-off parking charges at George Eliot Hospital

Nuneaton Socialist Party members were out in the town centre on Saturday collecting names on the petiton against rip-off car parking charges at the George Eliot and Walsgrave hospitals. There is a consultation currently taking place over the level of charges at George Eliot and members of the Nuneaton branch will be attending the public consultation meetings taking place next Wednesday.

There was huge interest and support from the public with over 150 shoppers stopping to sign the petition and to tell their horror stories about charges at both the George Eliot and Walsgrave hospitals. Many people who signed the petition mentioned how the George Eliot was being run down with more and more patients now having to travel to Coventry for treatment.
